Search for legislation on the web

You may be able to find more bills than we have on this site by checking these state legislative web sites and searching for bills on divorce or covenant marriage. If you find bills that restrict divorce, we would appreciate it if you could send us the URL [address] of the web page that actually contains the bill text, and also the URL of the bill summary, if available. It would also be useful to send the name, address and e-mail address of the sponsor and co-sponsors. That information is nearly always available on state legislative web sites. Home-district office contact information is even more important than state-house office information, because most legislatures are part-time, and because some legislators may have retired or been defeated since their bills were introduced.
