National Survey Indicates
Clinton Crisis Impacting
American Marriages

A national survey reveals that President Clinton's relationship with
Monica
Lewinsky is having a significant impact on American families and
marriages.

Results of the survey of 1,170 American adults show:

* 62.4% have talked with their spouses, children or parents about the
issue
of infidelity as a result of the Clinton crisis.

* 41.9% have talked with their spouses, children or parents about the
issue
of why marriages/relationships succeed or fail as a result of the Clinton
crisis.

* 21.4% are more likely to actively seek help to strengthen their
marriages/relationships as a result of the Clinton crisis; 1.7% are less
likely.

* 17.1% believe their marriages/relationships will be stronger in the
future
as a result of the Clinton crisis; 2.6% believe their
marriages/relationships will be weaker.

The survey was conducted from September 12 - 14, 1998 by PAIRS
International, Inc., a Pembroke Pines, Florida organization that develops
and teaches marriage education programs worldwide. PAIRS directed the
survey by e-mail to approximately 10,000 individuals who had previously
contacted the organization via the Internet about marriage education
opportunities.

PAIRS CEO Seth Eisenberg said the organization decided to conduct the
survey
after President Clinton said in Florida last week that he hoped millions
of
families would be stronger as a result of his own personal crisis.

Eisenberg added that PAIRS has received a much higher than usual number of
inquiries from the public in the past week about opportunities to
participate in marriage education programs. "Millions of couples," said
Eisenberg, "are talking more candidly about the issue of infidelity and
how
to make their marriages successful as a result of the Clinton crisis."
