In the mid-90s, British researchers found that men who divorced during the
course of their study were four times more likely to die young than men
who stayed married.
" A 1998 Danish study found that men with colon cancer survive longer
if they're married. And last year, Canadian researchers found that elderly
people who are married are far less likely to suffer from dementia or to
be institutionalized than unmarried people."
